Facial Implants in Scottsdale and Avondale
We use facial implants in two main ways. The first is to augment deficient areas of the face that are a result of disproportionate facial growth. The second way that we commonly us facial implants is in conjunction with facial rejuvenation procedures, such as a face lift. As we age, the soft tissue volume of the cheek decreases and sags resulting in a sallow appearance. Restoring cheek volume with cheek implants can produce a profound improvement in facial balance and restore a more youthful appearance.
In both instances, cheek (malar) and chin implants are inserted from incisions inside the mouth. The implants are made of solid material called Silastic. When placed, the implants feel very much like bone and help augment areas of deficiency. The re-draping of the soft tissues over the augmented area improves facial proportions. When performed with other procedures, dramatic results can be obtained.
Facial implants can bring balance and better proportion to the structural appearance of your face. To find out if you would be a good candidate for facial implants, contact our Scottsdale or Avondale office to schedule an initial evaluation.
