Tooth Extractions in Scottsdale & Avondale
If your teeth have been compromised by injury or decay and must be removed to protect the rest of your mouth and teeth, tooth extraction may be necessary. Dr. Guyette has helped thousands of patients improve their oral health by removing problem teeth. Whether done as a single procedure, or in conjunction with dental implants or reconstructive surgery, tooth extraction may be necessary to improve your health or can give you a second chance at a beautiful, healthy smile.
Removal of a single tooth, or multiple teeth, is performed in our state-of-the-art surgery center in both our Scottsdale and Avondale offices under the appropriate anesthesia to maximize your comfort. Dr. Guyette has the training, license and experience to provide various types of anesthesia. To find out more about your anesthesia options, click here.
If you prefer to have your teeth removed under Intravenous (IV) Anesthesia, you may not have anything to eat or drink (including water) for six (6) hours prior to your appointment except to take your normal medication or medication prescribed by our office. You must also have a responsible adult accompany you to the office and drive you home after the procedure. After the procedure, you should not drive a vehicle for 24 hours or for 4 hours after taking narcotic pain medication. You should plan on wearing comfortable clothing, including a short sleeved shirt, or a shirt that can have the sleeves rolled up past the elbow to allow access for IV placement. Contact lenses, jewelry and dentures should be removed before the time of the surgery.
“On the night of my procedure, Dr. Guyette called me to see how I was feeling. I thought that was magnificent and it was greatly appreciated! I felt very cared for!” Gordon Stein
