Corrective Jaw Surgery Before/After Photo
This patient is a 28 year old female who was referred to Dr. Robert Guyette by her orthodontist. This patient was already in braces when Dr. Guyette met her. The patient said it was very uncomfortable to eat and open her mouth and her teeth will not fully close together. Speech was sometimes difficult as well. Dr. Guyette worked closely with the patient’s orthodontist to prepare the patient for the corrective jaw surgery. This procedure for this patient is called bilateral sagittal split osteotomy of BSSO with mandibular advancement. Dr. Guyette, along with Dr. Barry Berger, performed the surgery in the state-of-the-art surgery center at the Scottsdale location. The patient is very pleased with the outcome. Her post-operative photos were taken 8 months after the surgery.
