Oral Surgery Dental Assistant

Our ideal candidates possess the following:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to type well
  • Highly motivated
  • Self learner
  • Looking for a long term commitment
  • Willing to travel between both locations (at least 50% of
    the week)

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in surgical procedures, including IV sedation
  • Sterilization and tray setups
  • Monitoring vitals of patient during and after sedation
    procedures, as well as recovery
  • Patient education including consultations, pre and postoperative
    instructions
  • Organizing and restocking as needed
  • Presentation of treatment cost and insurance benefits
  • Working with EMR based system

Company Benefits Package:

  • Full-time position (Approx. 36-40 hours/week)
  • Typical hours: Tues. 7:30-4, Wed. 6:30-5, Thurs. 6:30-3, and Fri. 6:30-3 with some Mondays

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Associate degree or one year certificate from an accredited
    dental assisting program
  • Oral surgery experience is preferred

Certificates/Licenses/Registration:

  • CPR (BLS) certified and DANB AZ Radiation certified or to be
    obtained by end of 90 day period
  • ACLS certified within first year of employment, if not
    already.
  • DAANCE certified within first year of employment, if not
    already.

Oral Surgery Dental Assistant

Important: Must Have Dental Office Experience!

Our ideal candidates possess the following:

  • Willing to travel between both locations (at least 50% is
    required)

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule new appointments, confirm/reschedule existing
    appointments
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance in records and patient
    confidentiality
  • Participation in daily morning staff meetings
  • Working with EMR based systems (practice management and Medispa
    software)
  • Insurance Verification (dental and medical)
  • Check in/Check out of surgery patients and medispa clients
  • Answering phones
  • Creating and maintaining patient’s charts with accuracy
  • Managing correspondence with referral practices (emails,
    fax, and mail)
