Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder that occurs when a person’s sleep is interrupted by having breathing issues. In fact, people with sleep apnea repeatedly stop breathing during their sleep, which is a serious condition that needs to be evaluated by a medical professional. While anyone can have sleep apnea, being male, overweight, over 40, large tonsils, a small jawbone, and/or having a large neck size are signs that you should watch for the condition. If left untreated, those with sleep apnea could have sustained health problems including irregular heartbeats, heart attacks, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, and more.

When non-surgical sleep apnea solutions prove unsuccessful, a UPPP procedure can alleviate breathing problems and improve health. A UPPP surgery involves removing some of the soft tissue on the back of your throat to increase the width of your airway, block some of the muscle action that impairs your ability to keep the airway open and improve the movement of the soft palate.

If you are constantly waking up at night, you may suffer from sleep apnea. Check out reviews and be sure to contact us to schedule an appointment – 855-489-3883.
