Corrective Jaw Surgery Before/After Photo
This is a 29 year old male patient who came to our office to consult with corrective jaw surgery. He was concerned about the alignment of his teeth and his bite. His dentist had told him that he would more than likely start to see some significant wear on his teeth over time due to the current alignment. consulted with the patient’s orthodontist and the decision was made to place braces on the patient’s teeth for 6-8 months and then proceed with corrective jaw surgery to advance his upper jaw. The patient was told that the braces would probably remain on his teeth for 6-8 months after the jaw surgery. The surgery took place in our office surgery center and the braces were removed approximately 6 months after the procedure. The patient is very happy with his results. The post operative photos were taken approximately 9 months after the surgery.
