Corrective Jaw Surgery Before/After Photo

This is a 16 year old female who was referred to by her orthodontist for evaluation for Orthognathic (jaw) Surgery. The patient was unable to bite and chew with her anterior teeth and this limits her ability to eat certain foods. Her inability to open her mouth wide is a concern as well as her open bite situation. worked with the patient’s orthodontist to create the plan for the surgery, which included placing the braces on the teeth for about 9 months prior to the surgery. The surgery took place in the Scottsdale office in the state-of-the-art surgical center. Dr. Barry Berger was present during the surgery to help with the general anesthesia. The surgery was a success. The patient and her family are very pleased with the results. After photos were taken 6 months after the surgery.
