This patient is a 50 yr old male who was referred to for evaluation of a lesion on his upper lip. The patient noticed this lesion several years ago. He stated that the lesion has stayed the same or possibly has gotten slightly smaller over time.
examined the area and determined that it was a vascular lesion on the upper right area of the lip. This type of lesion is called a hemangioma. He explained to t he patient that the lesion can be removed with the laser with local anesthesia. discussed the risks and benefits of the procedure and the patient elected to have the lesion removed that day.
has removed hundreds of these lesions with great success over the years in both his Scottsdale office.
