Minimizing Aerosolization With O2 Delivery
The following videos are from our 2015 FLIR Silhouette Nitrous Oxide study. The video on the right shows the typical nasal cannula at 4 L/m (2 L/m O2 and 2 L/m N20). The thermal cloud is Nitrous Oxide visualized in real time. One might extrapolate that this also reflects potential viral aerosolization.

The video on the left again uses thermal imaging with the same flow rate and gas mixture connected to standard scavenging. There is minimal gas leakage. Head movement shows no increase in escaping gas. This may reduce risk of viral exposure when delivering only oxygen.
